ESN Trips

More detailed information on dates, sign ups and prices can be found on the home page and on the mailing lists!

Lapland

Finland has a lot to offer other than just the capital area. The trips to Lapland are the highlight of the year many international students and have always been very popular. We have traditionally offered trips to two different destinations, Inari and Korvala. Both trips are packed with fun activities such as reindeer or husky dog sleigh rides, snow mobile rides, traditional winter sports including cross-country and downhill skiing, ice swimming and ice fishing and a visit to the Santa Claus village on the Arctic Circle. On the trips to Inari you even get to see the Arctic Sea in Norway. The beautiful but rugged Lappish scenery seen in the glow of the Northern Lights is definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

Russia

Finland and Russia are closely linked both by history and geography. Finland used to be an autonomous part of the Russian Empire and the two countries still share a land border of over 1,300 kilometers. So while you are in Finland, why not cross the border for an unforgettable experience  of the two greatest cities in Russia. We offer trips to both
Moscow and St. Petersburg or to St. Petersburg alone. On both trips we'll show you the most important sights of the cities on a guided tour and visit the most interesting of them. You'll also get a taste of the nightlife and have the opportunity to go to the ballet or the circus, see the majestic palaces of the czars and visit the many famous art galleries. With the many activities and options there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy on these trips!

Sea battle

For how many hours straight can you stay awake? You'll find out on the ESN Sea Battle cruise, as every hour of the cruise is packed with partying, sightseeing, shows and activities. During the cruise we'll visit three cities in as many days and spend two nights filled with fun on the ferry. The adventure begins with taking the ferry to Tallinn and then from there to Stockholm and back again. You get to spend a whole day in Stockholm and half a day in Tallinn, too, and then party all night long, sing a song or two on the karaoke, watch the amazing shows and just have fun making new friends on the ferry. Erasmus students from both Estonia and Sweden will be joining us on the cruise, as well as students from all over Finland, so that the ferry is full of only students! There's no winner or loser when it comes to having fun, so let the battle begin!
